Was Tom Brady Lying About His Knee Injury From 2008?

Written By Krishna Dhani
KansasCity.com has reported that former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is now ready to get back in the NFL game, after his knee surgery, that lasted a whole season.
That might not be the case anymore.
It turned out that he married a supermodel, spent a lot of time with his two year old son, and went on a TV show called Entourage.
This is really insane.
Is this guy joking or something about his knee injury from the 2008-09 NFL season?
I mean, seriously, the Patriots cheated in the 2007-08 season when they went 16-0 (then losing to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl) and now there is quarterback that just has to be lying, well, about everything!
Wow!
The real weird thing is that he is telling the press that he had surgery on his knee and he couldn't be able to play last year.
But, come on, he was able to be on a freaking television show?
Now the police are going straight down to investigation to see if one the body guards at his Costa Rican wedding have pictures.
Tonight, which is on August 13, this now-to-be TV star will be returning to the NFL and go to practice with the Patriots, for there upcoming game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“I’m a believer that talk is real cheap,” Brady said this summer. “I know it looks glamorous at times, but I think what I enjoy the most is playing football and being with my family, and those are the kind of things that I do. I’m excited to go out there and compete. And anytime I have a chance to compete, I love that.”
This liar has only played five minutes and 58 seconds since that loss from the Giants in the Super Bowl.
This is the biggest and cheapest thing any player in the NFL has done for a long time.
Soon enough, everyone will now know about this, and once again, Tom Brady will be hated.
Let's just see what he has to say about this excuse, that can get him fined.
Finally Vick Has Found His Right Place With The Eagles

Written By Krishna Dhani
ESPN.com reports that former Falcons quarterback Micheal Vick, now has finally been accepted by the Eagles.
He was lucky to even have a second chance otherwise he would currently be in such bad shape.
Micheal Vick signed a two year contract with the Eagles. He is going to be one of the staring quarterbacks for the Eagles, also with McNab.
At his first practice he had a perfect spiral, they were all impressed and glad to see that he still has the power to the throw the ball acroos the whole field. At that point the Eagles had a feeling that Vick was going to very good.
At most of his practices he observed McNab and also put in extra hours to get used to being in that NO. 7 Eagles jersey also to get better. He worked vigorously to be as good as McNab. He's currently working on one-on-one, seven-on-seven, and red zone plays.
When Vick was being interviewed by Sal Paolantonia, Vick said,"I felt great. I want to say it felt normal. It felt normal," that's what he said after his first practice.
When Vick was at his empty locker taking of his ankle brace, he said, "this is weird" in front of groups of reporters.
Vick's position at one of his practices was a fourth quarterback line-up under the center. He was doing pretty well at his practice.
Lets just hope he does well with the Eagles.

The State Of The Los Angeles Lakers: 2009-2010 Season
This article can also be seen at

![]()
The 2008-2009 NBA season is part of the past now. The crowning of a new champion was the end result of that season.
The Los Angeles Lakers set themselves apart from the rest of the league by winning the coveted Larry O'Brien trophy last NBA season.
The Lakers are once again on the hunt, cementing themselves as one of the main championship contenders. But being championship contenders doesn't necessarily mean that the Lakers will automatically accomplish the rare feat of a repeat.
During this offseason, I have come up with certainties and uncertainties of the Lakers coming into next season.
The Lakers' strengths and weaknesses. Their positives and negatives.
Ron Artest
The Lakers front office acquired Ron Artest from the Houston Rockets this offseason for a five-year deal that is worth around $33 million.
Artest provides the Lakers elite perimeter defense that won him his lone Defensive Player of the Year award in 2004.
For the Lakers, this means that Kobe Bryant does not have to focus part of his energy guarding the opponents best shooting guard or small forward. Kobe can now spend his time roaming defensively and leading the Lakers complicated offense while having enough energy to take over in the fourth quarter if he is needed.
With Artest's intimidating personality in the defensive end and Kobe's hope-killing shooting and demeanor, the Lakers truly got the better end of this deal.
Trevor Ariza will be missed, but Artest will be welcomed with open-arms.
Ron-Ron is a positive.
Lamar Odom
Re-signing Lamar Odom was the best move the Lakers has done during this offseason.
Though he can sometimes disappear during games last season and the season before, Odom is best suited to play for the Lakers.
He took a blow to his pride during last season when he came off playing for the bench, taking the role of the Lakers' Sixth Man.
During that season, Odom became Andrew Bynum's insurance. Odom started for the Lakers half way through the '08-'09 season after Bynum suffered another injury.
He thrived as a starter, but was also understanding when Bynum took over his spot as a starter once again during that season's post season.
Lamar was once again needed when Bynum became a foul magnet during the post season. Odom acknowledged his supporting role and flat out produced for the Lakers in the offensive and defensive end. He ended the '08-'09 post season averaging 12.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
Expect Odom to give the Lakers Sixth Man worthy numbers once again during next season's play.
Odom is a positive.
Phil Jackson
The Lakers recently lost a key member to their championship team, Kurt Rambis, Phil Jackson's successor. But, the Lakers still have the most successful coach in NBA history, Phil Jackson.
Jackson is truely a coach of champions; coaching both Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Phil has a total of ten championship and has mastered the art of the complicated, yet effective triangle offense.
Phil has the chance to be the first coach in NBA history to wear a toe ring.
Phil is certainly a positive.
Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol
The on court chemistry between Kobe and Pau is second to none in this league. This duo is making a name for themselves amongst the all-time great duos of the NBA.
Since Pau has joined forces with Kobe, they have not lost a Western Conference title and has won an NBA championship in only two seasons together. Unlike the great duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone, where the two of them are still ringless.
During last season, this duo averaged 45.7 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game.
Expect the best from these two.
Kobe and Pau equals championship success.
Sasha Vujacic
This article about Vujacic tells it best. He has simply lost his shooting touch.
His jump shot is as erratic and sporadic as his defense. The Lakers just can't depend on Sasha to provide a few good minutes of play while Kobe rest his legs.
During last season, Sasha averaged a poor 5.8 points per game shooting a below-average 38.7 percent from the field.
He might turn it around next season, but for now he is a "machine" with low batteries. He needs to find his touch once again and finally start living up to his self-proclaimed name of the "Machine".
Till that day, the "Machine" is a negative.
Injuries
Injuries is part of every contact sport. Basketball is not an exception.
Last season, the Lakers' injury list included Andrew Bynum, Jordan Farmar, and Sun Yue.
Bynum's NBA career has been injury filled. It's a good thing that the Lakers have Lamar because Bynum has not showed that he can play a full eighty-two game season.
Andrew shows great potential, he even has the chance to become an All-Star next season. But if he has another injury plagued season, he will be more of a negative than a positive to me.
Also, the most recent injury the Lakers have right now during this offseason is with Pau. It's a minor finger injury that is expected to be fully healed in three weeks.
Though it's minor, I'm hoping it's not a bad omen for Pau and the Lakers coming into next season. An omen full of injury.
Injuries are a negative.
Age
The Lakers team is getting older, an inevitable thing.
Kobe is thirty, fastly approaching thirty-one. Lamar, Artest, and Pau are twenty-nine, while Derek Fisher just turned thirty-five.
Being old has its perks. Their basketball I.Q. is higher and their more calm in final second games.
But the older players athleticism is not as sharp as they used to be, the same with their endurance.
Due to this, the Lakers only has a one to three year window left where they can utilize Kobe's innate ability.
Aging is a downer, that's why since the beginning of time people has been looking for ways to negate it's effects.
Overall...
The Lakers are in a good place right now. They have gotten the taste of success last season making them more hungrier to win it back next season.
If they can stay away from the negatives listed and hone the positives, they will be in good shape.
To say the Lakers will repeat next season would be foolish on my part, but to say the Lakers don't have a chance at repeating would also be foolish.
Is it October 27th yet?

The Prospects (part one): Ryan Westmoreland
This is part one of a five part series where I break down my top 5 prospects in the Red Sox organization.
My number one prospect as of now in the Red Sox organization, is a 19 year old by the name of Ryan Westmoreland.
Ryan has blazing speed. I compare him to Jacoby Ellsbury at this stage in his career for those Red Sox fans. Hes a phenomenal fielder, but had surgery on his shoulder in the off season, so now he is the DH. But expect him to start playing CF again the the next week or so.
Right now is in the class-A affiliate of the Red Sox, the Lowell Spiners. I have season tickets so I have seem him play alot.
Hes a left handed hitter with an open stance, with great contact and great power agaisnt lefties. Which most top prospects dont have. Hes eighth in the New York Penn League in steals with 14, and his fellow teamamte, Derrik Gibson, who I have ranked as 8, leads the league wih 20 and is 4 away from the all time mark in NY Penn League.
Ryan has a battign average of just below .300, and has 6 hR's and 27 RBI. I know that doesnt sound like alot but the team plays below 80 games a year and Ryan has been leading off for more than 3/4 of the games so far. Hes also only 19. So for a lead off hitter who is 19, those are great stats.
Hes also been in the news a bit. He was a part of the trade the Red Sox offered the Blue Jays for Roy Halladay.
I reccomend you keep an eye on him in the next few years as i predict he will be in the MLB around the time when he is 23,24.

Matt Schaub To Lead Texans Far This Year
Written by Shawn DhaniMatt Shcaub, QB for the Texans, is healthier than ever. Now it's his chance to drive the Texans to the Playoffs and to win the Super Bowl.
According to ESPN, Matt is leveled to be a Probowl player.
For the last two seasons, they have finished with a record of 8-8.
Now it's now Matt Schub's turn to step to the spot and drive the Texans to the Playoffs.
"You can see that Matt knows this is his team now," Texans offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said. "He's more upbeat. He doesn't go into the tank when things don't go right. And you can tell that he knows the players around him know that he can play. He doesn't walk around like he has to prove himself now."
If Matt can stay healthy, he can do all he can to go to the playoffs and win the Super Bowl.
Donte' Stallworth Has His License Suspended For Life.
ESPN.com reports that former wide-receiver for the Cleveland Browns Donte' Stallworth speaks his mind in court.
One of the Miami judges thought their were going to be arguments on the suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver but instead there weren't any.
Donte' wanted to cut time on his probation and his house arrest, which were apart of his DUI manslaughter plea bargain. One of the hearings took place on Tuesday morning.
Stallworth had only served 24 days in jail of the 30. This was all due to his manslaughter on March 14, were he ran over an innocent pedestrian.
One of the police officers said that Donte' Stallworth was drinking and spending the at a Miami Beach nightclub. The next morning he had killed a pedestrian while driving.
His horrible plea was two whole years at community control (Miami's version of house arrest). He also had eight years of probation, drug and alcohol testing, the worst was that he had his license suspended for the rest of his life.
Now that Stallworth has a indefinitely suspension by the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Stallworth had signed a $35 M. seven-year contract last season but since was so injured that time he couldn't play.
From now on it looks like Stallworth won't has such a great time, and hopefully he has learned his lesson.
Donnie Avery Out Due To Injury On His Foot

ESPN.com reports that St. Louis Rams wide receiver Donnie Avery is will be out for four-to-six weeks due to an injury that was caused on his foot.
When he took the MRI, it was any ordinary damage.
It was a significant damage.
This was even worse then when Avery got soreness in his left foot on Saturday morning.
This started to get way out of control.
That's when the Rams dispatched the report.
The St. Louis Rams are lacking on the their wide-receivers.
They are having a hard time deciding on their top three options to play behind Avery.
Those receivers include Keenan Burton, Ronald Curry, and Laurent Robinson.
ESPN.com says they appear to be the three best for not only Avery, but for the team of St. Louis as well.
Avery was drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft last year (also the first wide receiver taken in the Draft as well) for the Rams and caught 53 passes for 674 yards and three touchdowns during his campaign as a rookie player.
I wish all the luck to him coming into the new football season of 2009-10.

Larry English Be Positioned Left Inside Linebacker For Chargers' Defense
Written by Shawn DhaniThe other day, I was on the San Diego Chargers official website.
I was looking at the team's depth chart and I found sometime very surprising to my eyes.
I saw that the team's first-round draft pick Larry English was a backup left outside linebacker.
Now you all know the Chargers go by a 3-4 defensive strategy, so read very closely.
Larry English should be positioned at the right inside linebacker spot.
Why so?
I'll tell you why.
He can't start at left inside linebacker because Stephen Cooper holds that spot and he was very impressive last year.
Then you have Shaun Phillips and Shawne Merriman taking over the left and right outside linebacker spots, who'll make a lot of pressure and do many passing attacks on the opponent's quarterback that they'll be facing.
And if English starts for the right inside linebacker, the Chargers defense will dominate with a lot of pressure for the passing and rushing game.
And if San Diego can do that, a Super Bowl championship win will be coming their way soon.
Breaking News: Packers Involved With The Vick Saga
Written by Shawn DhaniAccording to ESPN.com, the Green Bay Packers had an interview with former Atlanta Falcons superstar quarterback Michael Vick.
During the interview the Packers had with Vick on Saturday, the team looked like it was actually interested in this player, who has more than 10,000 career passing yards and more than 5,000 career rushing yards.
"Packers interest in (Michael) Vick appears to be strongest of any NFL team so far. Shocking how little Packers think of third-string QB Brian Brohm."
The third-string quarterback, who you all know is Brian Brohm, thinks the Packers will dominate on offense if they were to get a speedy player that has as much talent that Vick possesses.
But it seems like Vick may not start due to the fact that Aaron Rodgers holds the starting spot.
Vick may have shots in “Wildcat” plays and probably some shots at quarterback.
He'll be fine if he were in a green and yellow uniform with a cheese head.
The Packers could be a surprise team to watch this year if they were to sign Vick.
Aaron Curry Signs Six-Year $60M Contract, $34M Guaranteed
Written by Krishna DhaniESPN.com reports that first-round draft pick Aaron Curry has signed a six-year $60M contract with $34M guaranteed.
This is one of the richest contract in history for a rookie that does not play the position of a quarterback.
Curry was one the first to be the first-round pick from Wake Forest.
The thing that is a concern, though, is that he has missed the first eight days of training camp practice.
With the signing of this linebacker the Seattle Seahawks have done, six other first-round pick rookies with different teams have yet to be signed.
"I am just as excited to be out here and just to see the emotion from the fans and get back with my team is just an amazing feeling," Curry told ESPN.
The Seattle Seahawks have saved a special spot for Curry in the starting lineup.
They have expected him to be lined up with Leroy Hill and three-time Pro Bowler Lofa Tatupu during the regular season.
Curry has also made more money than last year's fourth overall pick, which would be Darren McFadden, who made $26M last year.
On Curry's first play in training camp, he was matched up with tight end Cameron Morrah.
While they were against each other, a fan in the background sarcastically said, "Welcome to the NFL."
"He wasn't in there with the first group just because he's got so much catching up to do," Coach Jim Mora said. "I don't know at what point we'll make the switch and he'll start running out there with the first defense, but I think it will be pretty soon."
Let's just hope that Curry can just be happy and stay that way with his contract, and continue to be better at what he is doing.
I wish him a good year this year.
Roddy White Signs Six-Year Extension With Atlanta Falcons
Written by Krishna DhaniNFL.com reports that wide receiver Roddy White has signed a six-year $50M extension with the Atlanta Falcons.
The new contract will replace his old one.
This former first-round draft pick wanted a long-term deal.
In this case, it looks like he got what he wanted.
He also has eliminated the chance of being a restricted free-agent in 2010.
White has a career-best of 88 receptions for a franchise-record of 1,382 yards last season.
He had earned his first Pro Bowl appearance while he was becoming one of the first Falcon wide receivers in a decade to have post back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
The Falcons were also one of the first teams in history to have a back-to-back 1,200 yard seasons as well.
"We're always going to be an organization that rewards players that are productive on the field and good citizens off it," General manager Thomas Dimitroff said.' "We're glad to have Roddy's contract situation resolved. We look forward to a long association with him."
This will also be a great opportunity for White as he will be putting on a show through possibly 2014 in a Falcons uniform.

The Sports Brief: Michael Crabtree Don't be a Punk!!!!
Michael Crabtree's cousin has stated that Crabtree may re-enter the 2010 NFL Draft if a deal cannot be struck with the San Francisco 49ers. How do you feel about Michael Crabtree's cousin taking a stance for him and the overall situation?

Syracuse Orange Tell Running Back Latavius Murray, "We Don't Need You"

Former Central Florida running back Latavius Murray, has been told that the Syracuse Orange football program doesn't need him.
Murray, who played as a true freshman for the Golden Knights, tore his ACL when he informed head coach George O'Leary he wanted out.
The ex-Onondaga High School star, had said that he wanted to transfer to Syracuse and would be willing to be either a running back or linebacker.
A Syracuse assistant informed Murray on Friday night that the school would not offer him a scholarship, but he could walk onto the team if he so wished.
Talking about the rejection, Murray said, "Disappointed. Disappointed. I would have liked to have come home and played for the hometown and try and be a part of this rebuilding. But you know what? It was their decision. What happens, happens."
Murray has also stated that he intends to wait it out and not walk onto the program.
Currently, the Orange have injury-prone senior Delone Carter, sophomore Antwon Bailey who played last year as a true freshman. Averin Collier and Michael Jones also sophomores, complete the Orange's stable of running backs.
The Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: Week 19

It's time to make your final playoff push in Fantasy Baseball and if you're like one of my teams, you need to make a move, whether it be a trade or a waiver wire pickup.
For the latter, here are my suggestions to help bring you to your league's playoffs.
Add Them Now:
Neftali Feliz, SP/RP, Texas Rangers
The Rangers acquired this flamethrower from the Braves in the Mark Teixeira deal and he's finally paying dividends. In three relief appearances, he has eight strikeouts in 10 innings with only one hit allowed which was a home run. If you need a reliever or just someone who can rack up strikeouts, grab Feliz without hesitation.
Gordon Beckham, SS/3B, Chicago White Sox
Beckham is hitting .308 with 61 hits, six home runs and 39 RBI in only 198 at bats. Ignore the fact he's on the road all next week, because he's just that good of a hitter.
Drop Them Now:
John Smoltz, SP, Boston Red Sox
I have to say I'm surprised it took the Red Sox this long to designate him for assignment. He's 2-5 with 59 hits allowed and a 8.32 ERA. Avoid him even if he comes back again.
Edinson Volquez, SP, Cincinnati Reds
If you were holding onto the Reds stud pitcher in hopes he'd comeback, you were greeted by some bad news this week. Volquez is out for a whole year with Tommy John Surgery. Drop him now and don't draft him next year until he's given the green flag to comeback.
Brandon Webb, SP, Arizona Diamondbacks
I feel bad for whoever drafted him, only one start this year and he's done. Chris Carpenter, anyone? Unless you're in a keeper league, drop him and hope he comes back to being Brandon Webb next year. Although, if I took him this year, you wouldn't be able to pay me to take him next year since I'd probably miss the playoffs because of him.
Monitor Their Status:
Bud Norris, SP, Houston Astros
Let's face it, Bud Norris is a rookie and rookies are prone to fluke performances. But two straight?
In two starts this year, Norris is 2-0 with 16 strikeouts in just as many innings. A 1.69 ERA and 1.12 WHIP doesn't hurt either. However, don't get ahead of yourself, his next start is at Florida and Ricky Nolasco. See how he responds and then go after him.
Brian Matusz, SP, Baltimore Orioles
I'm going to get killed for this one just like I did with Jordan Zimmermann but even after striking out five in his debut, his next start comes against Roy Halladay in Toronto. Avoid him for now.
Justin Masterson, SP, Cleveland Indians
Masterson had 71 strikeouts in 75 innings with a 4.32 ERA as a Red Sox reliever. But after being traded to Cleveland in the Victor Martinez deal, this strikeout machine takes over Carl Pavano's rotation spot.
He'll make his first two Indians' starts on the road. With the first start being today at the White Sox and Carlos Torres, the next will be on the 14th at Minnesota and Carl Pavano. See how those two starts go before pulling the trigger.
Don't Make Mistakes: Hoosier Seniors Plan To Show What They Are Worth
Hoosier Nation says that the Indiana Hoosiers senior players plan not to make mistakes coming in the 2009-10 College Football season for Indy and the Big Ten.As John Decker said from the Hoosier Nation source, coach Bill Lynch wants to make surprises and give the Hoosiers something to deal with, which would be adversity.
The Hoosiers will be facing some tough teams like Akron and Michigan next year, but even though they are, they can handle the game out and you never know, they probably might win against those two teams.
Junior quarterback Ben Chappell when the Hoosiers went through adversity, they did have a big empty hole missing in their team. I couldn't agree more. The Hoosiers fell to 3-9 last year after going 7-5 a year before that and having an Insight Bowl appearence against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, eventually losing 49-33.
The Hoosiers look to be much better this year, and look to have a much better record than 3-9. They also may be a surprise team this as well, proving that The Ozone was wrong about their predicted record that the Hoosiers will go 2-8.
But can the Hoosiers survive without their two offensive playmakers from last year of Marcus Thigpen, who went to the NFL, and Kellen Lewis, who is permanently uninstalled from the team? It's going to be tough but with defensive guys like Jammie Kirlew and Greg Middleton, I think the Hoosiers can possibly be alright.
“Last year there were young guys and some were leaders, but we were leaving it to the seniors to really push the team,” said senior Jammie Kirlew. “Some seniors did, but I don’t think there were enough of them to get the team going in the right direction.”
The Hoosiers have been training hard right now, doing more workouts, more stuff in the weight room, and many others. The Hoosiers could be contenders in the Big Ten, but the chances will be slim. Their defense will be strong but their offense will be a bit of a concern most probably. There is brightness to look into next year, and if the Hoosiers can shine some light with the fans in Memorial Stadium, I think they can be okay.
“We’ll see what happens this year when we face a little adversity,” Chappell said.
And probably "goodness" will happen.
